We are looking for a Financial Planning Controller with the following qualifications to work in the Sabancı University Finance Team.


Qualifications:

  • Graduated from Economics, Business Administration, Econometrics, Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering departments of universities.
  • At least 8 years of experience in the Budget and Reporting departments of audit or other companies.
  • Experienced in preparing management reports.
  • Experienced in preparing and tracking the monthly and annual budget,
  • Experienced in financial modelling
  • Having knowledge of uniform accounting plan,
  • Advanced analitical analysis ability, knowledge of reporting and presentation techniques,
  • Analytical thinking, careful and planned working order, detail-oriented, solution-oriented, responsible, problem-solving skills are developed,
  • Good at teamwork and having high communication skills,
  • Able to adapt to flexible working hours,
  • Good at using SAP reporting tools ,
  • Preferably with a SMMM certificate,


Job Description:

  • Providing support to the annual budget preparation process,
  • Conducting forecast reports according to changing conditions,
  • Accurate, timely and complete preparation of monthly management reporting sets,
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements; balance sheet, income statement, cash flow,
  • Conducting internal and external reporting,
  • Creation and analysis of expense-based expense reports on a cost center basis
  • Making and analyzing budget/realized comparison reports on a monthly basis in cost center detail,
  • Identification and tracking of budget amounts to the SAP system,
  • Directing the Accounting department regarding Income / Expense records and making the necessary corrections,
  • Conducting checks in the sense of income assurance
  • Designing a report together with it department in case the needs of the report need to be determined,
  • Responding to ad hoc report requests from management and other departments,
  • Improving the reporting system and contributing to the maintenance of sustainable quality,

Sabancı Topluluğu, Sabancı Üniversitesi'nin kuruluş kararını 1994 yılında, Türkiye'nin en büyük aile vakfı olan Sabancı Vakfı önderliğinde aldı.

Türkiye'de bir "dünya üniversitesi" kurma vizyonuyla, Ağustos 1995'te, 22 ülkeden, farklı disiplinlerde çalışan 50'nin üzerinde bilim insanı, araştırmacı, öğrenci ve iş insanı İstanbul'da düzenlenen arama konferansında bir araya geldi. Konferansta, İstanbul'da kurulacak bir dünya üniversitesinin felsefesi oluşturuldu: "Birlikte yaratmak ve geliştirmek". 

Arama konferansını, öğrenci eğilimleri araştırmaları ile desteklenen tasarım komitelerinin çalışmaları izledi. Tasarım sürecinde, disiplinlerarası yaklaşımlar çerçevesinde, programlar ve dersler üzerinde çalışacak 13 tasarım komitesi oluşturuldu. Akademik alandaki tasarım çalışmalarının yanı sıra üniversitenin iş süreçlerinin ve yönetim yapısının oluşturulması için Deloitte & Touche danışmanlık firması ile birlikte Üniversite İdaresi Projesi başlatıldı.

Sabancı Üniversitesi'nin tasarım çalışmaları sonunda, tek bir üniversiteyi model olarak seçmek ya da farklı örnek ve uygulamaları taklit etmek yerine, yeni ve özgün bir üniversite modeli yaratıldı. 

Sabancı Üniversitesi'nin temel atma töreni 31 Temmuz 1997'de gerçekleştirildi. Ekim 1998'de, üniversitenin genel yapısının ortaya çıkmasını takiben Avrupa Kalite Yönetimi Vakfı'na (EFQM) üye olmak üzere başvuruldu. Üniversitemiz, Türkiye'den EFQM'e başvuran ve üyeliğe kabul edilen ilk üniversitedir.

Sabancı Üniversitesi, Ekim 1999'da ilk öğrencilerini karşılayarak öğretime başladı. Üniversitemiz bugün Türkiye'de ve yurt dışında pek çok üniversite tarafından örnek alınmaktadır.
